Behind the Art

Black Opal Studio was designed by a hobbyist with interests in Science Fiction and Fantasy literature, TV, and film. Artistically they enjoy digital art, photography, generative art, and character design.

A mix of traditional and digital tools are used including Adobe Photoshop, Inkscape, Blender, After Effects, and AI-powered tools such as Stable Diffusion (with custom LoRA training via Kohya), Topaz AI, and large language models for ideas. For photography, Photoshop and DSLRs and SLRs.
